Basic training

Thursday to Sunday / CHF 890 (students CHF 690)

You will learn the ABC of paragliding and complete your first high-altitude flight. From Zurich or Lucerne we will conquer the training hill where we will gear you up for the high-altitude flights and the pilot career in front of you. 

Training on the beginners hill

The basic training: Within four days from a pedestrian to a pilot.
The basic training: Within four days from a pedestrian to a pilot.
On the training hill you will learn the basics: material handling, take off and landing .
In only four days we teach you different starting techniques under different conditions. .
After four days, you will be able to take off and land perfectly.
A high-altitude flight will be the cumulation of the basic training: you're flying from a mountain with a lot of height.

On the training hill

Paragliding starts on the training hill. While you already made your first small flights on the trial day, which is also the first day of basic training, we'll now focus on the basic skills and understanding for the following training and pilot career. On the training hill, it is all about safe launching and landing, controlling the paraglider on the ground as well as in the air and handling the material before and after flying. This is where the basis of every good pilot is built. 

The whole ground training of course is supervised by a flight instructor who accompanies you over radio and optimally prepares you for your first high-altitude flight. One day of high-altitude flights is the culmination of this paragliding course – for the first time you will be flying by yourself in real high altitude in one of our flying sites! If you like it, this is where the training continues with high-altitude flights respectively where it all really begins.

DATES

  • Dry and flyable weather provided, basic trainings (and trial days) take place from Thursday to Sunday
  • November to February a little reduced: Saturday and Sunday

LOCATION

Depending on wind and season, we have various training hills around Zug, Lucerne and Zurich at our disposal. From Zurich a shuttle bus is available. All training hills are easy to reach by public services.
