Programme
The motto of the week in Ticino is: Extend the summer and collect as much airtime as possible.
Together we will get to know different flying areas in Ticino. There is something for everyone here: pleasure pilots, XC pilots, siv fans, hike & fly sportsmen and women and fly & wine experts. We will get to know the airspaces, the special topography of the canton and its winds.
Our base is in Orselina over Locarno and Lake Maggiore. Here we can enjoy the evenings and are also within walking distance of the Cardada cable car, which takes us up to the Cimetta, the well-known starting point for fantastic pleasure and XC flights.
In addition to flying, we will enjoy the culinary delights of Ticino. After our breakfast, we'll set off to explore the flying areas! And maybe we'll end a day of flying by landing at a wine cellar.
The trip is suitable for:
- Thermal hunters with a penchant for social feasting
- All pilots who want to refine their thermal technique in strong, Italian upwinds, under guidance
- Students with at least 30 high-altitude flights and thermal flight ambitions
