HOME AND AWAY
Switzerland is a paragliding mecca and we are both lucky and privileged to have the Alps and the Jura at our disposal. But that doesn’t make flying further from home any less desirable! To really appreciate the advantages we have at home doesn't mean we should close our eyes to the beauty of faraway places and other flying areas. Who doesn't occasional have the desire to venture away from home? Or like migrating birds yearn for warmer places to fly in winter? Or simply want to spend their holidays flying? You know the reasons, we know the destinations.
TRAVEL MANAGEMENT
We offer various flying vacations and advanced training in neighbouring countries and places further afield. A paraworld.ch tour guide, other experienced pilots and flight instructors are always with you. At the best time of the year, we take you to flight areas we have flown before and know well. On some trips we also cooperate with local paragliding guides and drivers to guarantee the best quality, safety and efficiency.
WE ARE THERE FOR YOU
We are there for you, in person and on the radio: A flight instructor or start assistant will always be with you at the launch site. The daily weather analysis is just as rigorous as discussing and inspecting take-off and landing sites, and evaluating possible cross-country options. We want you to have an unforgettable flying holiday, not because of tricky situations, but because you have beautiful flights. Besides that, it is always our goal and intention to make you even better pilots during our paragliding trips. For those who want to, there is always the possibility to discuss theory and techniques, analyse and optimise your personal flying skills and fly new manoeuvres under guidance.
FLYING CULTURE OR CULTURAL FLIGHT?
We travel to countries that offer much more than great flying areas and plentiful thermals. Whenever possible, we also try to enjoy the sights and tastes of the local area. Especially on non-flyable days, a stroll through the city, a boat tour or a safari is possible and a good idea. However, our priority is clearly paragliding. Whenever possible and for as long as possible, we will be in the air. Of course, you are always free to take a break or create your own programme, it is your holiday after all.
AND WHILE WE’RE TALKING ABOUT IT ...
In general, we take care of every aspect of the paragliding trip: Travel there and back, local transport, accommodation, meals, choice of flying area, alternative (bad weather) programmes and much more. You only have to fly and enjoy the experience.
We usually travel as a group of about 16 people (except for Pilat, season-start events and the Easter trip, among others). We stay in hotels, hostels or bungalows. Rooms are usually shared, but there is always the possibility of a single room for an extra charge. Breakfast is taken at the hotel, in the evening we usually eat together in a restaurant - during the day food is organised according to the weather and flying programme.
Insurance is always the responsibility and at the discretion of the participant. For some trips visas may be required, and vaccinations or special equipment might be recommended. Much of this is taken care of by us and we will of course let you know when, where and what additional equipment will be necessary.
SOMETHING FOR YOU?
Yes, of course! Unless specifically stated, all our trips are suitable for all pilots: Pleasure pilots, ambitious pilots, students (from about 30 flights, but to be sure just ask us), those returning to flying after a break and experienced pilots. You need to be able to take-off and land independently, have your own paragliding equipment in good state of repair.
Flying with family? That doesn't have to be an obstacle. Perhaps you would like to take your children and partner with you on your paragliding holiday? On most trips this is possible, just ask us how it works. Of course this also applies to any other questions, wishes and concerns. Otherwise, just pack your bags, sieze the opportunity and fly away with us!
